In the bible, whatever we build will be tried by fire, and if our work—our faith and character—survives that test, we will receive a reward (verse 14)

 The true value of gold comes from the fact that it is rare and it does not come easy. The physical form is hard to change, but we all are capable to turn our soul as treasurable as gold. The spiritual gold is our faith which should be the solid foundation in our soul.
